Delete your Morro account

Morro Care Ltd (Company No. 17326603)

This page explains how to delete your Morro account and the data associated with it. Morro is provided by Morro Care Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17326603).

Option 1 — delete your account in the app

If you still have Morro installed and can sign in, this is the fastest route and takes effect immediately:

  • Open Morro and sign in.
  • Go to Profile.
  • Choose Delete account and confirm.

Option 2 — request deletion by email

If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would rather we do it for you, email support@morro.health with the subject “Delete my account”.

Please send the request from the email address registered on the account, or tell us what that address is, so we can identify the right account. We may ask one further question to confirm it is yours before we delete anything.

We will confirm once the deletion is complete, and in any event will respond within the timeframes required by UK data protection law.

Before you delete: paid subscriptions

Deleting your Morro account does not automatically cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. If you subscribe through the Play Store, cancel the subscription in the Google Play app (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) as well, or it will continue to renew.

What is deleted

  • Your account and identity data — name, email address, profile photo, language and preference settings.
  • Your device and notification data — push tokens, notification preferences and quiet hours.
  • Your membership of any Morro Group, and your access to it.

This happens within 30 days of the request.

What is not deleted, and why

  • Entries in a shared care record. A Morro Group holds a shared record about the person receiving care. Information you contributed to a group — for example a wellbeing check-in or a medication log — remains part of that group’s record so that the care history stays intact for the other carers, attributed to the group rather than to your account. If you want a whole group and its record deleted, say so in your request and we will delete it, provided you are the group owner.
  • Billing and subscription records. Retained for 6 years from the end of the relevant financial year, as required for HMRC and Companies Act accounting records.
  • Security and audit logs. Expire on a rolling 12-month schedule.
  • Encrypted backups. Deleted data leaves our backups as the backup window rolls over, typically within 35 days.
